Shop, Reroll, and Dismantle: Spend Only for a Job

A practical economy loop for shops and rerolls: protect the run first, then spend to complete an engine rather than to chase rarity. Framed for patch 1.0.466.

Shop prices, reroll rules, and return behavior can change with patches. Recheck the current in-game text before treating an economy route as optimal.

1. Buy the missing function

Before rerolling, identify the missing function: damage delivery, element application, reload uptime, survival, or economy. A reroll is good when it searches for that function; it is wasteful when it only searches for a higher color.

2. Keep enough currency for the next decision

Do not empty the wallet before the next shop or upgrade opportunity. Economy routes need a reserve, but even damage routes need enough room to respond when the current weapon or survival plan fails.

3. Dismantle a miss, not your foundation

Only dismantle an item when the replacement improves the same job or the dismantle effect is itself part of the plan. Never dismantle the only reliable way your run applies its element or survives a room.

4. Stop rerolling when the loop works

Once the build has a trigger, a payoff, and a safe way to deliver it, save currency for survival or the next breakpoint. More searching can make a stable run worse.

Before you commit

  • What exact function am I buying?
  • Will this reroll remove my only stable damage or survival tool?
  • Can I afford the next shop after this purchase?

Put the method into the tool

Open the planner with the Hunter, weapon, and candidates on your screen. It will show conflicts and a fallback direction.
